I retired after 20 years as a USAF SERE Specialist, where precision and attention to detail were critical. In that role, I provided education, personnel recovery planning, and execution to ensure that those who put themselves in harm’s way could return home safely. Alongside my military service, I have over 15 years of experience in evaluation, as well as serving as a Firefighter, where I conducted hundreds of pre-fire and safety inspections and carried out damage assessments as an Inspector and Technical Rescue Specialist.
My career began in construction as a framer and general contractor, where I gained hands-on experience in structural framing, roofing, foundations, and finish carpentry. Throughout my military service, I maintained a strong passion for building science, particularly how emerging technologies and techniques continue to shape the home industry in both new construction and remodeling. Outside of work, I’m an avid woodworker who enjoys building cabinetry and small furniture.
